Flavors of Italy map

REGIONAL VARIETY ON A PLATE -The Po Valley is one of the most fertile regions in Europe – and you can taste it. In Venice, the proximity to the lagoon characterizes the cuisine: Sarde in saòr – Venetian sardines – polenta and seafood are at home here. In Ferrara ¬, on the other hand, rural cuisine meets aristocratic history – with specialties like cappel lacci ¬di zucca – pasta with pumpkin filling – or the famous salama da sugo, an Italian dry-cured sausage. Every town has its own culinary signature – deeply rooted in everyday life, yet surprisingly sophisticated.

A LOVE OF WINE - The wineries along the River Po are more than just production sites – they are living cultural sites. Often family-run for generations, they combine crafts manship, history and hospitality. Not only do people work here¬, they live with dedication, from the careful pruning of the vines in winter to the harvest in the golden fall. The wine growers always welcome their guests with an open he art – and guide them through stone cellars, show them centuries-old presses or state-of-the-art technology, and tell them stories of rainy years, sunny loca tions and momentous decisions. Each estate has its own story, shaped by the landscape, the family, and the belief that good wine needs one thing above all: enough time.

PASTA CULTURE - In Northern Italy, pasta is far more than just a dish—it‘s a craft, a source of pri de, and often a ritual spanning generations. Every shape and every filling has its regional origins and its own history. Those who make pasta here do so with dedication — and they usually still stick to the recipe used by their “nonna”, or grandmother.
