8 Day Elegance Along the Seine Cruise
Paris - Les Andelys - Rouen - Caudebec -en-Caux - Le Havre - Vernon - Paris
BEY015

A Garden becomes a painting Monet‘s garden at Giverny, art and nature merge to create a com plete and harmonious experience. The famous water lily pond, the Japanese bridge and the lush floral splendor look like a living painting — enabling visitors to become part of the picture themselves.
Birthplace of modernisme mpressionism began in the port city of Le Havre, which was moderni zed by the architect Auguste Perret after the Second World War. It was here that Claude Monet created his famous painting -“Impression, soleil levant” in 1872“ – a work that gave the movement its name and transformed the art world. This spirit can still be felt today. At the Musée d‘Art Moderne André Malraux, you‘ll encounter masterpieces by Monet, Boudin and Dufy, while the city‘s UNESCO-protected archi tecture ¬offers an exciting contrast between history and modernity.
Out and about in the Seine Valley Whether visiting the Musée d‘Orsay in Paris, where the light-filled ¬halls house masterpieces by Monet, Renoir and Degas, or strolling through the winding artists’ alleyways of Rouen, the legacy of Impres sionism is evident at every turn along the Seine. The river landscapes, the special light and the picturesque places of the region once inspi red artists such as Claude Monet, Alfred Sisley and Camille Pissarro to create paintings that revolutionized the art world. In small galleries, charming studios and museums by the wayside, you can find true treasures from this era that shouldn‘t be missed.
