Sail along the Seine to discover the history, idyllic landscapes and culture that border this mythical river with its hidden secrets. In Vernon, you will discover the Claude Monet house and gardens with its famous water garden. Visit the sumptuous Martainville Château, stroll along the Côte Fleurie or vist the historical Normandy landing beaches.

 

DAY 1 PARIS

Passengers are welcome to board our ship at 5:00 p.m. After comfortably settling into your cabins, we'll introduce our crew at a welcome cocktail before dinner. Join us for a cruise through Paris "by night" (depending on the water level).

DAY 2 PARIS

In the morning, optional excursions:
- AUTHENTIC : panoramic tour of Paris. You will see the most emblematic monuments of the capital, such as the Bastille, the Latin Quarter, the Louvre or the Champs Elysées, the Arc de Triomphe, the Eiffel Tower... Considered the most beautiful capital in the world, Paris is a dazzle of every moment.
- EXPERIENCE: walk on the banks of the Seine and the bridges of Paris. The banks of the Seine are a romantic and cultural walk, according to the prestigious monuments that mark it but also the booksellers, squares and gardens or the many bridges full of history and legends that span the river.
Free afternoon in Paris. Take the opportunity to discover the capital at your own pace.

- AUTHENTIC: the Palace of Versailles(5) (only on pre-booking before departure). It is one of the most famous and prestigious monuments of French Art of the seventeenth century (only on mandatory pre-booking before departure - with your agency. Closed on Monday, replaced by the castle of Malmaison, a high place of the Empire). "It's not a palace, it's an entire city. Superb in its greatness, superb in its material, "wrote Charles Perrault about this splendid historical monument, classified as a World Heritage Site. From the Ice Gallery to the King’s Apartments, from the Domaine du Trianon to the sublime gardens, every step is an adventure and everything is only wonderful.
- EXPERIENCE: the gardens of Versailles, walk on the steps of Le Nôtre(5). Discover the estate of Versailles in a different way through the vast perspectives associated with the Groves, the number of sculptures, the richness of the flora and the abundance of waters and their history. In 1661, Louis XIV charged André Le Nôtre with the creation and development of the gardens of Versailles, which, in his view, were as important as the Château. Let yourself be guided through the world’s largest open-air museum.

DAY 3 PARIS - LA ROCHE-GUYON

Morning sailing to the Roche-Guyon. Located below the slopes of the Vexin plateau, on the right bank of a meander of the Seine, the village is famous for its castle dominated by a medieval keep. Conference on board.

Arrival in the early afternoon.
Optional AUTHENTIC/EXPERIENCE excursion: visit of the house of Claude Monet and its gardens (6). The famous Impressionist painter lived forty-three years, in his home in Giverny. This avant-garde artist is recognized as one of the creators of the Impressionist movement and has made light the "main character" of his sublime landscapes. His long career and colorful works embody the transition from tradition to modernity. Between the workshop of the famous artist and his "water garden", the visitor is carried away by the magic of the place, the moment and the elements.
Back on board for dinner. Animated evening. In the night, departure by navigation to Honfleur.

DAY 4 HONFLEUR

Morning sailing to Honfleur.

Optional AUTHENTIC / EXPERIENCE excursion: the flowery coast. From Honfleur to Deauville, the Flower Coast, offers a succession of beaches, cliffs and charming seaside resorts, like Deauville, "Grande dame du bord de mer" symbolizing elegance, prestige and refinement. Between blue sea, green countryside and golden sand, this little corner of paradise with a poetic name inspired a large number of artists, who reveled (in moderation) with a delicious brandy named calvados... Passage by Trouville and Deauville and visit a distillery where we make the famous Calvados.

DAY 5 HONFLEUR

Optional AUTHENTIC Tour / EXPERIENCE: Guided tour of Honfleur. In turn village of the Duchy of Normandy, military fortress, port of departure of great explorers and land of Impressionist painters, Honfleur, charming city with incomparable cachet, has always fascinated men. Its adorable little port, rich museums or small cafes invite you to delicate moments out of time.

In the afternoon, optional excursions:

- AUTHENTIC : discovery of the Alabaster coast. Road to the estuary of the Seine where you will see the famous cabin bridge of Normandy, a real technological feat, before reaching the Albaster coast. Natural heritage of the Pays de Caux, the coast offers grandiose scenery, like Étretat, where the majestic cliffs of white chalk plunging into the English Channel are a spectacular natural monument. The city also boasts several remarkable castles, mansions or villas such as the Manoir de la Salamandre or the Clos Lupin where Maurice Leblanc was born under the pen of the famous gentleman burglar Arsène Lupin.

- EXPERIENCE: hiking on the cliffs of the Alabaster coast, the most spectacular erosion phenomenon on the coast. Along the Alabaster coast, the route offers hikers the charms of the Normandy coast. Pebble beaches, port cities, green meadows and chalk cliffs are part of the decor and will accompany your journey. Stop in Etretat for a free discovery of the city.

Optional AUTHENTIC excursion day / EXPERIENCE (lunch included): the landing beaches(3)(only on pre-booking before departure). The Allied landing of 6 June 1944 on the beaches of Normandy was the largest amphibious and airborne operation of all time and marked a decisive turning point in the Second World War. La Pointe du Hoc, Omaha Beach, Colleville-sur-Mer and its American cemetery..., not to mention Arromanches and its circular cinema where you will watch the film: The 100 Days of the Battle of Normandy. The visit of these places full of history is a great moment of emotion.

DAY 6 HONFLEUR - ROUEN

Morning in navigation to Rouen along the meanders of the Seine. Under the changing reflections of a perpetually moving sky, the bucolic and contrasting landscapes dear to Impressionist painters follow one another.

In the afternoon, optional AUTHENTIC excursion / EXPERIENCE: Rouen. The heritage of the "city of a hundred steeples" is particularly important and its history is as rich as it is exciting. Joan of Arc, Gustave Flaubert, Pierre Corneille, Claude Monet or Guillaume Le Conquérant have helped make famous this city that offers a unique set of civil and religious monuments ranging from the Middle Ages to the present day. Harmoniously combining tradition and modernity, the Norman city contains both ancient wonders and works of "street art".

DAY 7 ROUEN - LES ANDELYS - PARIS

Morning sailing to Les Andelys.

In the afternoon, optional excursions:

- AUTHENTIC : the castle of Martainville. Jacques Le Pelletier, shipowner of the city of Rouen, built this castle in the 16th century. Later his nephew, who inherited all his fortune, undertook great development work and the castle became one of the very first buildings of the Norman Renaissance. Today, it houses the Museum of Traditions and Norman Arts and its exceptional collections retrace the history of the arts and popular traditions of Upper Normandy. More than 15000 works are exhibited permanently.

- EXPERIENCE: hike to the Château Gaillard(4). Overlooking a meander of the Seine in the Andelys, this imposing medieval fortress was erected on a cliff by Richard the Lionheart in the 12th century. The walk will take you to the foot of the castle from where you will enjoy a magnificent view of the Seine Valley.

DAY 8 PARIS

After breakfast on board, we disembark around 9.00am. End of our journey.
