DAY 1: STRASBOURG
Embarkation in Strasbourg between 6:00-7:00 PM. Settling into the cabin followed by an introduction of the crew during a welcome cocktail. Dinner is on board the ship. An optional visit to the old quarters of Strasbourg by river boat is offered.DAY 2: STRASBOURG - FRANKFURT
Early in the morning, we go through the locks at Iffezheim and Gambsheim, which are among the largest locks on the Rhine. Breakfast during the cruise and continuation of our journey down the Rhine, passing the towns of Worms, Gernsheim, Nierstein. We will then take the Main to Frankfurt. The Main, a tributary of the Rhine, provides the link between the Danube and Frankfurt, the largest city situated on its banks. Lunch while cruising. Arrival at the beginning of the afternoon in Frankfurt and departure for an optional guided tour or free time. Frankfurt is a city where the mixture of ancient and modern will be bound to surprise you. Back on board. Dinner and evening of entertainment. Departure of the boat during the night.
DAY 3: FRANKFURT - COCHEM
Breakfast during the cruise. Morning's sailing on the most beautiful section of the Romantic Rhine to Koblenz. Throughout this cruise, you will be able to see numerous castles amid the famous vineyards, and the celebrated Rock of the Lorelei. In Koblenz we will take the Moselle, one of the most beautiful tributaries of the Rhine. Lunch on board. Arrival in Cochem, nicknamed the Pearl of the Moselle, in the afternoon. Optional excursion to Cochem Castle. Back on board for dinner. Discover the old town in the company of our hostess. Overnight stopover.DAY 4: COCHEM - KOBLENZ
Breakfast on board. A morning's sailing on the Moselle. Lunch while cruising. We will reach Koblenz at the confluence of the Rhine and the Moselle at the beginning of the afternoon. Explore the old city in the company of our hostess. The charming old city, gathered around Saint Castor's church (9th to 12th century) and the church of Our Lady (12th to 15th century) has been lovingly restored over recent years. It offers a pleasant stroll, from the Old Castle on the bank of the Moselle to the palace of the elector-princes on the Rhine. Back on board. Dinner and evening on board. Overnight stopover.
DAY 5: KOBLENZ - RUDESHEIM
Breakfast on board. Departure of the cruise. We will be sailing up the Romantic Rhine to Rudesheim. Lunch on board. Arrival in Rudesheim in the afternoon. Optional excursion: departure in a small train stopping at a wine tasting cellar(1), followed by a visit to the museum of mechanical music. Dinner on board. Free evening in the famous Drosselgasse, a little street where you will find numerous little restaurants which offer musical entertainment by local bands. Back on board whenever you wish.
DAY 6: RUDESHEIM - MANNHEIM
Breakfast during the cruise. A morning relaxing on board. Lunch on board. Arrival in Mannheim around 1.00pm. Departure for an optional tour of Heidelberg with a visit to the castle and the old city in the company of a local guide. Free time in the city centre. Back on board in Mannheim. Gala dinner and departure of the cruise.DAY 7: STRASBOURG
Breakfast on board. Arrival in Strasbourg around 9.00am (3 rue du Havre). End of our journey.
