From Strasbourg to Luxembourg, sail along four rivers and discover the beauty of the romantic Rhine Valley, the Neckar, the Moselle, and the Saar, which will reveal their cultural and historical treasures. Admire the idyllic landscapes this panorama offers and visit iconic cities like Heidelberg, Trier, and Luxembourg. Traditions, art, and viticulture—each of these cities will tell you its own story.

 

DAY 1: Strasbourg

Boarding at 4 p.m. Crew introductions and welcome cocktail. Boat departs for Mannheim at 5 p.m. Evening entertainment.

DAY 2: Mannheim - Heidelberg -Rudesheim

Optional excursion to Heidelberg. Departure by coach to Heidelberg, the city symbolizing German Romanticism. Meet your guides at Heidelberg Castle, where you will discover the exterior of this magnificent, partially ruined pink sandstone castle. Since the end of the 18th century, the castle ruins have inspired painters and poets who saw them as a symbol of the grandeur and decadence of human achievement. Goethe, Hölderlin, Uhland, and Eichendorff celebrated the castle's landscape, while numerous painters chose it as a motif. Also discover the geometric terraces of the Palatinate Garden, the "Hortus Palatinus," once considered the "eighth wonder of the world." You will continue with your guides with a visit to the Old Town. You will admire the Church of the Holy Spirit (exterior), built between 1398 and 1441, the burial place of the prince-electors.

Afternoon sailing towards Rüdesheim.

In the evening, the famous Drosselgasse awaits you with its many open-air cafés.

DAY 3: Rudesheim - Cochem

In the morning, optional excursion: miniature train, wine tasting and mechanical music museum in Rüdesheim . Departure by miniature tourist train for a guided tour of the Rüdesheim vineyards. Tasting in the historic cellars of the Bassenheimer Hof, a 16th-century stately home. Then drive to the Siegfrieds Mechanisches Musikkabinett museum, located in a historic 15th-century building. It houses an impressive collection of mechanical musical instruments and constitutes one of the largest and finest collections from the 18th to the 20th centuries.

Afternoon cruise through the beautiful, romantic Rhine Valley and then on the Moselle River. With its castles, historic towns, vineyards, and the famous Lorelei Rock, this sublime landscape, deeply steeped in history and legend, has inspired countless writers, painters, and composers.

Arrival in Cochem in the evening. Lively evening.

DAY 4: Cochem - The Mosel Valley

In the morning, optional excursion: guided tour of Cochem Castle . Transfer to Cochem Castle by minibus. The Reichsburg dominates the Moselle in all its splendor. Guided tour of this magnificent castle dating from the year 1000. Destroyed in the 17th century, it was completely rebuilt according to old plans in a neo-Gothic style. It is distinguished by its graceful turrets topped with pinnacles. After visiting the castle, you can enjoy some free time in the town. As you wander through its narrow, winding streets, you will see its half-timbered houses with slate roofs and the town hall square, which is steeped in history.

Afternoon sailing towards the Moselle towards Trier.

DAY 5: Trier - Saarburg - Remich

Arrival in Trier during the night.

In the morning, optional excursion: guided tour of Trier . Discover Trier's Roman cultural heritage, the view it offers over the Moselle and its magnificent landscape. Known for having been one of the seats of Roman imperial power, one of the great centers of early Christianity and also a dynamic medieval city, it has retained precious architectural marks from these three periods. You will see in particular the amphitheater, the imperial baths, the Roman basilica, the famous Porta Nigra which was designed both as a fortress and a monument or even the St. Peter's Cathedral from the medieval period.

Afternoon sailing on the Saar and Moselle towards Remich. Lively evening.

DAY 6: Luxembourg

In the morning, optional excursion: visit to the Caves St Martin (4) and wine tasting. In 1919, in the aftermath of the First World War, the Caves St Martin were founded. In the heart of these underground galleries dug over nearly a kilometer, you will discover the secrets of Luxembourg wine. Then, transfer to the historic center of Remich where you will enjoy free time. Nicknamed the pearl of the Moselle, this small Luxembourg town is nestled in a sublime panorama of vineyards and lush forests that surround it like an amphitheater. Discover the facades and doors decorated with Roman or Baroque remains, its picturesque alleys or even a sculpture by the artist Will Lofy representing the Roman god of Wine.

In the afternoon, optional excursion: guided tour of Luxembourg City . Departure by coach from Remich to Luxembourg. Day 3:SAARBURG - TRIER - BEILSTEIN

During this time the boat will sail towards Trier where you will join it. Afternoon cruise towards Beilstein which we will reach at the end of the day. Lively evening on board. Overnight stopover.

Arrival in Koblenz. Discover the old town with the entertainment team. Koblenz is a city in the "German Corner" and at the confluence of the Moselle and Rhine rivers. You will see the city's historic city center as well as the statue "Die Deutsche Eck" representing Emperor William I located at the confluence of the two rivers.

Day 5: KOBLENZ - RUDESHEIM - MANNHEIM

Morning cruise through the beautiful, romantic Rhine Valley. With its castles, historic towns, vineyards, and the famous Loreley Rock, the sublime landscape, deeply linked to history and legend, has inspired numerous writers, painters, and composers. Arrival in Rüdesheim in the late morning.

In the afternoon, optional excursion: miniature train, wine tasting and mechanical music museum in Rüdesheim . Departure by miniature tourist train for a guided tour of the Rüdesheim vineyards.
