DAY 1: AMSTERDAM

Boarding in Amsterdam at 6.00pm and time to settle comfortably in your cabins before meeting the crew during a welcome cocktail reception. Dinner on board followed by an optional river tour of Amsterdam (on a shuttle boat), known as "Venice of the North".

DAY 2: AMSTERDAM - VOLENDAM

Breakfast on board while cruising on the Ijsselmeer, one of the largest inland freshwater lakes in Holland. Enjoy lunch on board before arriving in Volendam, which is famous for eel fishing, around 1.00pm. In the 19th century, artists used to flock to Volendam to paint scenes of the everyday life of its inhabitants dressed in colourful traditional local costume. Leave on an excursion (optional) to Zaanse Schans, an open air museum with typical 17th and 18th centuries houses and windmills (in perfect working order!). Return to the ship for dinner around 6.00pm followed by an evening entertainment on board.

DAY 3: VOLENDAM - HOORN

Buffet Breakfast on board. Take this opportunity to visit Alkmaar (optional excursion by coach), a historic town and its cheese museum. Return to the ship in Volendam for lunch before sailing onto Hoorn, a prosperous village thanks to its mackerel fishing and shipping trade. Arrive there around 3.00pm and enjoy some time to discover the town which during the 15th century was one of the most prominent towns in. Western Friesland. The name of the famous "Cap Horn" comes from a sailor native of Hoorn who was the first to sail round the Southern Cape. Return to the ship for dinner and an entertaining evening with a crew show.

DAY 4: HOORN - ENKHUISEN

Breakfast on board and morning spent cruising on the Ijsselmeer towards Enkhuizen. Aperitif games will be organised in the dining room before lunch is served on board. Arrival in Enkhuisen around lunch. Enjoy time at leisure to discover the city and its Renaissance 17th centuries buildings. The Zuiderzee Museum will give you a glimpse of everyday life in those former harbour (entrance fees). Return for dinner on board followed by a gala evening.

DAY 5: ENKHUISEN - AMSTERDAM

Breakfast and lunch on board while cruising on towards Amsterdam to arrive around 2.00pm. Choose to leave on the coach trip to Keukenhof Gardens (optional/ open only at spring time) to admire the wide variety of tulips, narcissi and daffodils. Return to the ship for dinner and either enjoy some free time or ask to be dropped off in the city centre for a walk round the Red Light District.

DAY 6: AMSTERDAM

Breakfast on board. Disembarkation at 9.00am. End of our journey.

Prices Include: Full board cruise from dinner of the first day to breakfast of the last day in a double cabin with showers and toilets, welcome drink, entertainment, the Captain's evening, the assistance of our hostess on board, and port taxes. DRINKS PACKAGE INCLUDED - Soft Drinks, as well as tea and coffee specialties, Beer, sparkling white wine, Cremant and Prosecco (in a glass), as well as open wines and daily recommendations from the wine menu (by the glass), Cocktails and long drinks throughout the day and evening.

Prices Do Not Include: Drinks, not listed above, insurance and optional excursions.

For reasons of navigation and passenger safety, the Captain of the ship reserve the right to modify the itinerary of the cruise.
