DAY 1: NANTES - SAINT NAZAIRE

Boarding at 6:00 p.m. Departure for navigation toward Saint-Nazaire. Introduction of the crew and welcome cocktail.

DAY 2: SAINT NAZAIRE – NANTES

In the morning, depart for an optional excursion to the Maison des Paludiers in Guérande.

During this guided tour of an interpretation center, discover the full richness of the salt workers’ practices and know-how. Thanks to an immersive and interactive experience combining projections on a tactile model, an educational film, and discussions with a salt-worker guide, explore in detail the stages involved in creating the salt marshes: water management, crystallization techniques, and salt harvesting.

Then enjoy a gourmet interlude at a local crêperie, where you will taste one of the region’s most iconic culinary specialties. Return on board.

In the afternoon, cruise towards Nantes. Enjoy sailing along the Loire and share a lively and unifying moment thanks to an entertainment activity that will immerse you in the heart of the regional musical heritage. A tasting of typical local products from the region will also be offered on board.

DAY 3: NANTES -

In the morning, optional excursion : guided tour of the Castle of the Dukes of Brittany and Nantes Cathedral (exterior view)(5). Anne of Brittany welcomes you to her castle. This evocative introduction sets the tone, while the imposing ramparts conceal a Grand Residence of remarkable refinement. Continue to Nantes Cathedral, where you will discover, from the outside, a true architectural treasure. The cathedral stands out for its unique Flamboyant Gothic style and has become, over the centuries, a symbol of rebirth.

In the afternoon, cruise to Ancenis. Immerse yourself in the heart of Loire culture and traditions by testing your knowledge during an original activity featuring a variety of fun and entertaining challenges, for a convivial and enjoyable experience. Evening of tales and legends: discover the most beautiful myths of local folklore, which have profoundly shaped the region and helped forge a strong local identity. Accompanied by a local folk group, delve into the heart

DAY 4: ANCENIS –Langeais Castle and Fontevraud Abbey

Included excursion day: Historic Jewels – Royal Marriage and Monastic Treasures.

Departure by coach toward the Château de Langeais. This splendid château fascinates not only through its refined architecture, blending the characteristics of the late medieval period and the Renaissance, but also through its remarkable history. Indeed, it was in one of its grand halls that a historic marriage was celebrated: Charles VIII and Anne of Brittany were united here in December 1491, marking the attachment of the Duchy of Brittany to the French crown.

Lunch at a restaurant.

The journey then continues to the Abbey of Notre-Dame de Fontevraud (4), an equally impressive site in terms of scale, beauty, and reputation, now listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. You will discover, among other highlights, the abbey church, four recumbent effigies including Richard the Lionheart, and the Romanesque kitchens.

Return on board.

In the evening, enjoy onboard entertainment.

DAY 5: NANTES

Buffet breakfast on board. Disembark at 10.00 am. End of our journey.
