The castle, sumptuously decorated in the Italian style with sgraffito, stuccos, and frescoes—highly prized by the high aristocracy of the time—also houses a rich private collection of furniture and paintings, including works by Rubens, Velasquez, and many others, all belonging to the Lobkowicz family, the oldest and most prominent princely family of Bohemia. At the end of the tour, you will enjoy a tasting of a selection of wines from the estate. Return on board in Melnik.

In the afternoon, optional excursion: visit to the Lobkowicz Palace. Departure by coach for the Prague Castle citadel; the Lobkowicz Palace was originally built in the 16th century in the Renaissance style. After being damaged by fire in 1541, it was rebuilt in a more austere Baroque style. You will discover the largest and oldest private art collection in Europe within the privileged setting of the Lobkowicz Palace, the private wing of Prague Castle. You will wander through the palace's majestic rooms, discovering its finest works of art. The exhibition, spanning 22 galleries, illustrates the tragic destiny of the Lobkowicz family through various personal items and artworks, including manuscripts by Beethoven or Mozart, and masterpieces by great artists such as Canaletto, Velázquez, or Pieter Bruegel the Elder. Return on board for dinner.
