4 Day Rhineland Christmas Cruise on the Rhine

DAY 1: STRASBOURG

It is aboard our boat especially decked out for Christmas that we will welcome you at around 3.00pm at our river mooring, rue du Havre in Strasbourg. Settling into your cabin. At around 4.00pm, our hostess will take you by coach to explore the Christmas market around the cathedral and on “place Broglie”. Back on board for the evening. Get together in the lounge for the welcome cocktail and presentation of the crew. Dinner and “Christmas Tales” theme evening. You will be invited to participate, recounting the Christmases of your region. Departure of the boat at around 8.00pm. Across the port of Strasbourg and through the north lock to get onto the Rhine.

DAY 2: RUSESHEIM - BOPPARD

Breakfast and aerobics session. Sailing through the Rheingau region with its numerous vineyards. Past the cities of Mainz, Wiesbaden, Eltville. We will reach Rüdesheim around 10.00am. Optional visit to the music museum or free time. Back to the boat for lunch. At 1.30pm, departure for the cruise up the romantic Rhine with its castles, its legends and the rock of the Lorelei. Arrival in Boppard around 5.00pm. Free time in this charming old town situated along the Rhine. In the evening, get together in the dining room for the Christmas Eve dinner which will bring us together like one big family around a glittering Christmas tree. Midnight mass (in German language) in Boppard (depending on the places available or in another church – possibility of transfer, to book and pay on board(1)). Back on board where you will be served a glass of mulled wine. During the night, Father Christmas will pay you a visit.

DAY 3: BOPPARD - MAINZ - SPEYER

Departure of the cruise early in the morning. Buffet breakfast during the cruise. Morning’s sailing and Christmas lunch on board. Arrival in Mainz around 2.00pm. Explore the historic center and the very beautiful cathedral in the company of our hostess. Back on board around 4.00pm and continuation of the cruise to Strasbourg. Dinner and gala evening.

DAY 4: STRASBOURG

Departure of the cruise in the early morning hea-ding for Strasbourg. After a lie in, breakfast. Past the cities of Mannheim, Ludwigshafen. Games and aperitif in the lounge. Lunch. Arrival in Strasbourgbetween 3.00 and 4.00pm. Disembarkation. End of our journey.
